Central Pacific Railroad Land Deed signed by Leland Stanford, 1884.
Printed Central Pacific Railroad Land Deed for the sale of property. This Deed was a sale of 160 acres in County of Sutter, California to Thomas Brewer, Jr. The deed was hand signed by Leland Stanford, President, James O'B Gunn, Trustee, Silas W. Sanderson, Trustee, E. H. Miller, Jr., Secretary, as officers of the Central Pacific Railroad Company. The document was notarized by Charles J. Torbert. This deed has embossed gold seals, one from the CPRR showing a train against the mountains, and a seal from the notary. [Note inconsistency of seals between scans of front and back, versus description, suggesting that front scan may actually be from another similar deed.]
